Love in the Gym (short)

…and how it could be the solution to your physical woes.

My body was in a toxic relationship with my mind, it couldn’t go anywhere and I wasn't listening so it started to shout at me (injuries/burnout).

Love wasn’t present.

Here are some identifying factors…

Recognise a few?

Well here's what it can look like when love IS present.

How's that sound?

Here are the principals I have applied to make the transition to enjoy my training more and feel much better in my body.

TRUTH - Admit the truth to ourselves (without judgement) of your bodies current condition, all its aches and pains.

HUMILITY - Work from where it is at, not from where you wish it was.

FEELING - The language is the body is heard through becoming sensitive to how it feels in any position in any given moment. I call this the Feather Barrier as taught in my School of Biomechanics

PRECISION - Using feeling we can be precise about where to work, how to work and how long for without tutorials or sets and reps.

NATURE - You will discover the joy in applying our body to natural movements (like running, jumping swinging, spinning, balancing etc.) and want to spend more time in God’s original gym - The Outdoors.

CLOSING

The more I focus on allowing love to be present when I train the more my body opens up to me and the more joy and appreciation I feel to inhabit one. The human body truly is a gift but like everything else in God’s kingdom - love is the key that unlocks it.

Thanks for your time in reading,

Tim
